The Alpha series speaker have raised a high bar for the final model of the range, the Alpha Sub subwoofer. It was created especially for customers who have a home cinema in 5.1, 6.1, 7.1 or 7.2 configuration or who wish to build such a system. In these cases, connect the subwoofer to the sub, SW, LFE or equivalent output of an AV receiver. But there are more possible applications for our Alpha Sub. One may also use the subwoofer for stereo to form a 2.1 system. For example the bass portion of a good transistor or tube amplifier can be reproduced by the subwoofer.

Our Alpha Sub was built on the basis of a powerful bass driver of nearly 30cm diameter designed specifically for this purpose in accordance with the Danish/American school. This massive woofer is equipped with a stiffened cellulose diaphragm, four-layer voice coil and huge motor circuit of two ring magnets. Modern technology used in this Sounddeco subwoofer allows full control over the driver with the built-in high-power active electronics.

In line with the other Alpha range models, the subwoofer’s enclosure is exceptionally solid. All sound-radiating elements are hidden above the base which takes an active part in their operation. The concept of the subwoofer project, its components and build quality all allow for powerful pure output down to the lowest audible frequencies.

Our Alpha Sub subwoofer perfectly plays the music on that borderline of bass and infra sound. It means that organ music can be enriched by finally reproducing those 32 and even 64-foot pipes just like contemporary music will show its absolute depth. Bass output can reach very high levels to fill any large room. However, do not overdo it with excessive bass volume (VOLUME) and too broad a frequency band (CUT OFF). Properly balanced regulation achieves the best. All members of the Alpha range have enormous sound performance capabilities that easily meet the highest demands of their users. The Alpha Sub can add the lowest frequencies to all of them.
